| gatsby: | hey i just met you |
| gatsby: | and this is crazy |
| gatsby: | but i'm going to spend most of my life and wealth in an attempt to pursue you for your stunning vapidness and the warped image of yourself created in my mind as a precursor to my eventual fall |
| gatsby: | so call me maybe |

I and a very good friend will run our first full marathon together :O
when i felt full on 1000 calories :/ weird.
Breakfast: cinnamon oatmeal and soy milk [400]
Lunch: cous cous and chickpeas [400]
Dinner: steamed veggies [150]
Snacks: banana
peach yoghurt [250]
Total: so far 1050, i haven’t touched the veggies i prepared for dinner yet, but 1200 counting them. i think i’mma make it my business to add something more to this though, given my height it’s hardly a sensible number.
Exercise: 3 mile run + 1 hour of yoga.
I am baffled at how full i feel… normally I try to eat 1500-1700 calories a day and the challenge is to stay under 1700, not over 1500.
I’ve been doing quite a bit of meditating and positive self-talk before I got to sleep reminding myself to stop eating when I’m full and eat for nutrition not stress relief.
It’s working suprisingly well. I’m kind of excited to step on the scales and see where this is going….
reeeally digging the ‘sporting gods’ shoot of olympic hopefuls in this month’d Vogue,
proof if anyone needed it that strong is sexy, fit is fabulous and healthy is beautiful.
serious envy for them running legs….
also, LOVING vogue’s new health initiative (which the media unfortunately seem to be making more controversial than it needs to be)
imho, it’s badass

every fitblr needs to see this. i’m not one for sentiment, but this guy made me cry he’s so inspirational and just amazing, watch it!
As women, we’re used to hearing about fitness in terms of inches and dress sizes. We may know better, but we’re up against near-constant reminders and pressures to look good and take shortcuts to get there.
The truth is, being a healthy woman isn’t about getting on a scale or measuring your waistline—and we can’t afford to think that way. Instead, we need to start focusing on what matters–on how we feel, and how we feel about ourselves.
I started thinking about exercise as an investment in myself instead of a chore, and I started focusing on the example I wanted to set for my girls. My schedule was dominated by career and kids–not to mention a very busy husband–but thinking about exercise this way made it a priority, even if I had to get up earlier to do it.
That’s what being fit meant to me: feeling good inside and out, and taking control of my health.
