a very late no weigh May check in. pretty happy with this. my eating habits haven’t been great as i’m working 12 hour days, but my exercise routine has been solid. so hopefully eating a bit cleaner will help keep progress ticking away :)

second bikram class plus 5 mile bike ride plus roobis tea thereafter equals happy feelings.

gradually feeling my fitness improving…

and now for something completely different.
as i’m staying away from the scales for a month, i’mma measure myself instead of weighing in on wednesdays to keep track of things.
also, as i’m thinking of long term health and happiness rather than a quick bikini fix, the fact that 18 weeks would take me right up to autumn will encourage me to appreciate my progress no matter how slowly i take it.

winning.

feeling awesome after bikram. the heat literally melted away all my hip and back aches caused by long distance running without warming up, cooling down, or stetching.

flexibility is definitely something i need to work on, but i feel so good. gonna make stretching a compulsory part of my wake up routine.

biked to and from yoga for extra movement. the studio is right by an organic market, so i treated myself to some dark chocolate covered cranberries which i am now going to enjoy with a cup of green tea

Early “Wednesday Weigh In” 30/04/2013

One last jump on the scales before “no weigh May”:

HW:196 lb

WIW 10/04: 162 lb

CW: 161 lb.
GW1: 161

GW2: 154

GW3:147

GW4: 140

Pretty good timing on the goal front, given that the next month with be focussed on wellness and self care rather than numbers on a scale.

A while back I set myself rewards for these Goals. The rewards for GW1 was 10 bikram yoga class.

I have my first of these later today. Can’t wait :)

this is pretty much the goal right now.
my grandpa passed away last week within days of my bf flying to another continent to work for the next few months.
felt sorry for myself. ate like crap. skipped workouts.
picked myself up and dusted myself off.
now i just wanna work on being happy and taking care of myself.
gonna have a “no scales” May, practice mindfulness, do yoga, get 8 hours sleep a night, hydrate, and try to stay positive.

Slowly slowly making progress. Have been active pretty much every day for the last seven. Friday and Saturday were written off as the month’s memorial service for my friend (lots of wine, lots of italian food, lots of hapy/sad reminiscing)

But… hiking saturday, bike rides sunday, and clean eating means I’m down another 2 lbs. And happily getting healthier…

Catching up on the fitness photo challenge
